ECO OUTFIT: CROP TOP

January 14, 2016

The crop top is still a style staple and has become a wardrobe favorite of mine. Styling it can be tricky, but when done right looks super cool and very chic. In the little video tutorial below, I'll show you how to style the crop top with proportions in check and help to give you a little inspiration on how to make this look work for you. Leave a comment below on how you are styling your crop top. I would love to hear!

As always, many thanks to Lindsay Linton for helping to film and photograph this project! xx

ECO EDITORIAL: BLACK, WHITE AND UPCYCLED WITH THE SWAY

January 5, 2016

On a snowy November day, I pulled my favorite jackets from past and present collections and teamed up with the talented photographer Scott Brasher to craft a moody and magical editorial feature representative of the 'cool factor' inherent in The Sway.

I had worked with Scott once before on a feature for my friend Kelly's site, TheGlamourai.com. What I love most about Scott is how humble and real he is. And I love his sense of style! The man should be a fashion icon! Many thanks to Scott for having the creative energy and vision to work on this with me, and many thanks to The Sway for being a brand partner, and for providing us with a stylish brand with ethics we can support. The Sway uses discarded leather to create jackets and bags, and manufactures in a fair production factory in Pakistan. The inner linings of their jackets and bags are made from recycled polyester.

ECO OUTFIT: WYOMING WOMAN

December 1, 2015

Growing up in Jackson Hole, my first job was working in a store on the town square called Wyoming Wear. We sold lots of polar fleece jackets, pants and even socks! Back then it was all about function- mainly staying warm in the sometimes harsh winters. Today, guarding against -14 is still a priority, but there are a few more fashionable items to bring form and function together. This fall was surprisingly warm and on one of the last snow-free days I layered two dresses, one jacket, knee socks and a pair of boots to express my Wyoming Woman style. It has been wonderful to play with the heritage style of this beautiful state, and to infuse some modern pieces coming from favorite designers in LA and New York to bring into focus my past and present selfs.

ECO OUTFIT: BLACK ON BLACK ON BLACK (WITH A SIDE OR PURPLE)

October 6, 2015

No matter how hard I try, I always seem to end up with quite a lot of black in my wardrobe. Maybe it is the after effects of having lived in NYC for over five years, or just what comes with the territory when you have to live out of a suitcase for more than three weeks... Either way, I stumble upon completely black ensembles and feel pretty darn good in them! Luckily, a new wardrobe investment in the form of shoes from Tokyo provided a hint of color of the purple/ maroon variety.
