ECO OUTFIT: CABIN FEVER

December 21, 2015

Coming back to my hometown, Jackson Hole, has been more thrilling than I ever could have imagined. Not only am I again enjoying the spectacular views and wonderful ways in which we play outside, I came back to a new startup scene! There are so many talented people doing such amazing things. A friend of mine started a juice company calledThicker Than Water. Another friend is working on a book. And, I was introduced to Aion Headwear, a brand headquartered in Jackson designing mountain/ surf town headwear and clothing. Pulling from their new collection, I fell in love with this slouchy beanie and poncho! For an extra cozy feel, I layered a couple of scarves over my shoulder to add even more dimension. Many thanks again to Lindsay Linton for collaborating on this shoot with me! These pictures truly capture a Jackson Girl in her element!

ECO OUTFIT: LEATHER AND KNIT

December 17, 2015

Those who know me well. know that I am a little bit scarf obsessed. So when I was styling this look, I couldn't choose between which scarf to use and I decided to go for double trouble. I think I may be on to something here! The big scarf look (I know some of you are rocking full on blankets right now) is a major fall/ winter trend. Instead of springing for a new scarf, try layering a couple of complementing scarves to get that cozy feel. If you are ready to bring a new scarf into your wardrobe, I recommend the scarves from Norlha (available at Nomadista.co, an online eco-boutique). They are handmade on the Tibetan Plateau from natural fibers like yak hair, wool and silk which create a soft and warm layer. Pair with a chunky knit sweater like this one from Chinti & Parker, and an upcycled leather skirt.

RED SCARF, Norlha, $160. Use the code FASHIONMEGREEN to get 15% off for a limited time from Nomadista.co #fair #naturalfibers

CABLE KNIT MERINO WOOL SWEATER, Chinti & Parker, $475. #local #organic #naturalfibers #c02neutral

ZINC SKIRT, The Reformation, $228 #upcycledleather #madeinUSA

Eco-Outfit: Blowing in the Wind

December 16, 2015

Sometimes you've just got to be open to the way the wind blows... There is a principle from my meditation practice that I try to follow which states that it is better to meet life's ups and downs with the same even mindedness. This is a tricky principle to practice, yet, I do try to remember it (especially when things don't seem to be going my way...) and just let the wind blow the way that it will- unattached to how it makes me feel so that I move through each experience gracefully.

BYRON LEATHER JACKET, The Sway NYC, $750 #upcycled

ECO OUTFIT: A RIVER RUNS THROUGH IT

December 10, 2015

As a stylist, I am always on the lookout for pieces that make an outfit 'come together' and this top was one such piece that was utter perfection. A friend of mine's mother bought it probably 20 or 30 years ago, and its timeless style and quality construction transcend the tests of time. Ladies, go raid your mother's closets stat! I've also fallen completely in love with this dress from Tonle. Made from recycled fabric in Cambodia, using fair production practices, this midi length dress has become the essential piece in my traveling wardrobe that I never had. It packs easily and unfolds into a beach dress or a Western inspired skirt with boots and a sweater. Many thanks to Tonle for gifting me one of your fab dresses and opening up a variety of outfit ideas!

ECO OUTFIT: SWEATER WEATHER

December 4, 2015

Hi. My name is Greta, and I am a boyfriend sweater stealer. Long have I loved the boyfriend layers that lend their oversized comfort! When pulling pieces from the not yet released Aion knitwear collection, I giddily selected some of the pieces from the Men's collection, including this wild west hoodie. Paired with some knee socks and a cup of hot coco, I'm set for an enjoyable apres ski session of journaling.

HOODIE, Aion, new season (not yet released) #social
