ECO OUTFIT: LEATHER AND KNIT

December 17, 2015

Those who know me well. know that I am a little bit scarf obsessed. So when I was styling this look, I couldn't choose between which scarf to use and I decided to go for double trouble. I think I may be on to something here! The big scarf look (I know some of you are rocking full on blankets right now) is a major fall/ winter trend. Instead of springing for a new scarf, try layering a couple of complementing scarves to get that cozy feel. If you are ready to bring a new scarf into your wardrobe, I recommend the scarves from Norlha (available at Nomadista.co, an online eco-boutique). They are handmade on the Tibetan Plateau from natural fibers like yak hair, wool and silk which create a soft and warm layer. Pair with a chunky knit sweater like this one from Chinti & Parker, and an upcycled leather skirt.

RED SCARF, Norlha, $160. Use the code FASHIONMEGREEN to get 15% off for a limited time from Nomadista.co #fair #naturalfibers

CABLE KNIT MERINO WOOL SWEATER, Chinti & Parker, $475. #local #organic #naturalfibers #c02neutral

ZINC SKIRT, The Reformation, $228 #upcycledleather #madeinUSA

ECO OUTFIT: HOME ON THE RANGE

November 19, 2015

Even though I've lived in London, New York and LA, it always feels so good to come home to Jackson Hole, my hometown, and let my Wyoming Woman spirit roam.

Cities are fantastic places, but small towns don't get enough credit. The people in a small town are so genuine, and interconnected. They say what they mean, and mean what they say, and I value that. The energy, the ambition and the good intentions translate well in a small town. It's been so wonderful being back in this mountain town, connecting with new people and friends from my past. There is so much talent here.

So when I began pulling pieces from the new Chinti & Parker collections for an upcoming shoot, I decided I wanted to shoot in my 'backyard' and infuse some of my Wyoming roots into the looks. I reached out to photographer Lindsay Linton and found in her an amazing collaborator to help bring the vision to life. I hope you enjoy the posts over the next couple of weeks. They are a wonderful look into my life in Wyoming which reflect the fashion sense (and brands) I've brought back with me along side local brand Aion, and some draw-dropping scenery in this place that I call home.
